Key Functions and Responsibilities
- As a member of the Product Support Team the successful candidate will generate customer satisfaction by providing timely and effective solutions to support requests reported against Intec’s Singl.eView suite of products.
- Take ownership of support requests, seeing them through to successful resolution.
- Apply analytical skills to identify and solve problems.
- Liaise closely and collaboratively with the customer (internal or external) to facilitate timely resolution.
- Provide solutions, Implement Change Requests, workarounds and advice to customers in response to support requests.
- Share solutions with team mates to build on the collective knowledge of the team and increase responsiveness.
- Provide work / effort estimates to Manager for effective planning
- Report work progress and collect metrics required for process enhancement
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science / Electronics & Communications or Masters in Computer Applications (MCA)
- Should have worked in Telecommunication domain
- Minimum 1 years programming experience
- Experience in UNIX environment. Requires knowledge of Unix commands and concepts including environment variables, file permissions, login/out procedures, shell scripting.
- Knowledge of SQL and at least one of C/C++/Java/Perl/Delphi is required.
Additional skills ( Desired)
- Experience with Oracle and Tuxedo is desirable.
- Experience in a Support, Maintenance or Development role is desirable..
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work in shift hours
- A willingness to at times be on-call and carry a pager outside of normal business hours is essential. On-call work is separately remunerated.
- Must have access or ability to install access to company network from home environment
- Willingness to undertake short term travel which may arise on occasion
